Holiday Gift Idea: Shutterfly Photo Books #SFLYphotobook (Giveaway – closed)

Pictures are worth a thousand words, right? Whether it’s to commemorate a special family moment or just capture the everyday memories, snapping photos of our lives is as easy as pulling out the cell phone that we all seem to have right on-hand nowadays. And while sharing pictures online is quick and easy – and a great way to keep family and friends updated, there’s still nothing quite like sitting down and looking through a book of family memories together.

This holiday season, we are going to be putting together photo books on Shutterfly for both my husband’s and my families. My husband has been working on one for several weeks already for his mom, and this will be a gift that has a bittersweet meaning for him and his siblings. Their mother has early-onset Alzheimer’s and already has difficulty remembering her kids and grandkids. They’re hoping that a photo book filled with pictures of her family members will make it easier for her to remember them and keep those memories close for just a little longer yet.

My own photo book will be for my mom – who does not own a computer and so misses out on seeing the pictures of her granddaughters that I post on Facebook and here on my blog. I’ve used Shutterfly to create photo books for her in the past and am looking forward to making one for her this year as well, especially since I have so many fun vacation photos to share. The hardest part will be choosing only a few to include out of the hundreds that I took this year!

I’ve used Shutterfly to share our family photos for many years now – whether on their share sites (especially the ones they create for AYSO soccer teams every season) or by creating special gifts like calendars, posters, holiday cards and photo books. The quality is always first-rate and I love seeing how the pictures turn out. It’s easy to create a photo book and either have Shutterfly design and arrange the photos for you, or customize your book’s look yourself.

Take a look and see – this short video (Shutterfly Photo Books: The Best Gift Ever) gives a great overview!

The video honestly didn’t remind me of any memories in my life… but it did remind me of all of the awesome photo books I’ve made on Shutterfly! I’d love to win so I can make more! Thanks for the opportunity!
