Almost like being there! Kodak K-Zone at Consumer Electronics Show (Giveaway CLOSED)

As a self-confessed electronics and gadget junkie, I would love to attend the national Consumer Electronics Show (CES) one of these years. I’ve been to other types of trade shows – mostly sports related since my dad writes a bowling column and used to be able to get press badges for my brother and I as well when he would attend them. Since sports aren’t really my thing, it was interesting – but not on the level that something like CES would be. It’s only the largest trade show held for consumer electronics, after all – and features both products as well as the companies that create them. This year’s CES is being held from January 7-10th in Las Vegas, NV, and I will be there – in spirit only, sigh. Well not completely…
One company that has a big presence at CES every year is Kodak – and this year they are offering those of us who can’t attend CES 2010 in person the opportunity to still be involved and a part of CES from our home computers. They’re inviting anyone who’s interested (Me! Me! LOL) to participate and watch live streaming panels directly from the Kodak K-Zone right on the CES floor. Not only that, but we can join in the discussion as well by submitting questions to the panelists via Twitter, using the hashtag #kzone.
Here is the list of panels that are available – they are all this Thursday and Friday. There are some great ones planned – I’m really looking forward to checking out and participating in as many as I can (and as many as my kids will let me, lol). And check out the lists of celebrity panelists – wow!!
- The New CMO: Chief Memory Officer (Thursday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. PST) – A look at today’s CMO’s and how they create, share and relive moments in their lives. Speakers include: Tina Sharkey (Chairman and Global President, Baby Center), Jill Zarin (The Real Housewives of NYC), and Jen Drexler (Director of Brand Insights, Just Ask A Woman)
- It’s All About KISS (Thursday, January 7 at 12:00 p.m. PST) – And we’re not talking about the rock band. Hear from leading women in technology about why simpler is better in today’s fast-paced world. Speakers include: Linda Tischler (Senior Writer, FastCompany), Tina Sharkey (Chairman and Global President, Baby Center), Pam Sherman (author and public speaker known as The Suburban Outlaw), and Jen Drexler (Director of Brand Insights, Just Ask a Woman)
- The M-Suite (Friday, January 8 at 3:00 p.m. PST) – How momtreprenuers and stay at home moms are building successful businesses. Speakers include: Amanda Robinson (NaturalMommies.com), Sharon Napier (founder, Partners & Napier), Susan Tousi (Kodak), Soleil Moon Frye (actress), and Stacie Haight Connerty (blogger, Thedivinemissmommy.com)
- Help, My Mom Friended Me on Facebook (Friday, January 8 at 11:00 a.m. PST) – Kids eight and under will never know what life was like before Google. Learn how technology is changing their lives – and their parent’s lives in the process. Speakers include: Pam Sherman (author and public speaker known as The Suburban Outlaw), Susan Getgood (Blogwithintegrity.com), Jill Zarin (the Real Housewives of NYC), Linda Sawyer (CEO of Deutch), Christy Matte (editor of the Family Computing Guide, About.com)
- Father Knows Best (Friday, January 8 at 5:00 p.m. PST) – It’s time to hear from the dads! Hear from these tech savvy dads on how they use technology with their kids, and the lessons learned. Speakers include: Michael Ferrara (TechnoDad), Jeff Hayzlett (CMO, Kodak), Fred Fishkin (technology reporter, Bloomberg Radio), Jackson Lynch (WIRED)
To view the live streaming panels (or recorded videos), the link is www.kodak.com/go/ces. You can also follow Kodak on Twitter at @KodakCB or become a fan on Facebook for more information and interaction as well. Don’t forget to follow the #kzone hashtag to stay involved in the conversation and submit questions too.
If you can’t make it to all (or any) of the live streaming panels – don’t worry! I will be posting re-caps afterward, along with tips straight from the K-Zone.

So that’s a total of 16 possible comments/entries if you do all of the extra entry options.
