With three little girls in this house, you would think that we should be overrun with hair accessories, ribbons and bows of all types. And to some extent that’s true, but over the years I’ve discovered that there really just aren’t a lot of options when it comes to finding really cute, unique options for hair ‘pretties’. Not to mention, of course, that all three of my girls took forever to actually grow some hair – no cute bows or ponytails for my babies. My older two finally have hair – but they often refuse to let me do anything with it. And even my youngest, at 3-1/2 years old, still just barely has enough hair to get into a kind of a teeny little ponytail. Sigh. What good is it to have girls if you can’t do cute things to their hair, right?  :)

I was contacted this week by another mom of three – the owner of an online boutique called Marili Jean Accessories. She makes some of the cutest hats, flowers and barrettes for kids that I’ve seen around. She even has darling little newsboy hats for boys! Here are a few of the options on her site (photography by Kelly Anderson Designs):

Aren’t those just the most adorable hats? And it doesn’t matter how much hair your baby, toddler or child has – what a wonderful way to add some extra cute-ness to your little one’s outfit. And especially at this time of year when little heads should be covered when out in the cold!

logo2666981_smOne thing that I love about the hats from Marili Jean is that you can buy them with a flower attached – or you can purchase a hat or headband with flowers that attach with velcro, so you can mix and match them to go with whatever your little diva is wearing that day. I think my favorite hat is the girls’ newsboy style (shown in green above) with a flower on the side – so cute and classy. While we haven’t tested any of these out ourselves, it’s easy to see from the photos just how attractive all of the different styles are.
