Review and Giveaway: Welch’s AquaJuice

As I’ve mentioned before, two of my girls absolutely love to drink juice. And having to restrict them to only a glass or two every day isn’t always easy. It’s frustrating sometimes, because there are a lot of health benefits to drinking juice – especially for my 6-year-old, for whom juice is just about the only way she ever gets any fruit at all in her diet.
One of the discoveries that we’ve made lately is that Welch’s has come out with a new kind of juice – one that provides the same nutritional benefits as other juices, but with less sugar and calories. It’s called AquaJuice.
What it is:
Welch’s AquaJuice comes in three flavors – Apple, Strawberry Kiwi, and Fruit Punch. And each 8-ounce glass contains one 80-calorie full serving of fruit – but no high fructose corn syrup, added sugar, or artificial sweeteners. And AquaJuice is an excellent source of Vitamin C as well.
Thanks to MomSelect, we received a 52-ounce bottle of the Apple AquaJuice to try out.
Here’s my our take on it:
First of all, I have to say that I did not get a chance to taste the AquaJuice myself. The reason why? My kids finished it off in record time, while I was laid out on the couch with the stomach flu. My husband wasn’t too worried about any kind of juice restrictions that day, and knowing that AquaJuice has less sugar than our ‘regular’ juice, I wasn’t too concerned afterward either.
When I recovered enough to wonder what had become of our sample bottle, this is what I found:
So I have no pictures of anyone actually drinking AquaJuice, but can undoubtedly say that it was a hit in our house. And I think we’ll be trying out the other flavors as well – my oldest doesn’t like juice normally, but she does like fruit punch. And I’m looking forward to getting a taste in myself next time! 
The bottom line:
Welch’s AquaJuice is a good alternative if you’re concerned about your child(ren) getting too much sugar or too many calories from drinking juice – but want the health advantages of it as well. Or if you’re just looking for a great juice that your kids will love.
Where can you find it?:
AquaJuice comes in 52-ounce bottles (hopefully they’ll incorporate juice boxes or other single serving options soon), and can already be found in major retailers throughout the US. You can find a ‘buy one get one free’ coupon on the Welch’s website.
