Works For Me Wednesday #9 – PRIZEY

Blog contests and giveaways seem to be everywhere lately (including here – check out my near right sidebar!). With so many happening at different times, for various sorts of prizes, and lasting from days to weeks and even months, it helps to have a centralized listing system to help keep track of where the giveaways are for the prizes that you are interested in.  Thankfully, such a site exists!  I discovered PRIZEY last year, and have used it to find great contests and giveaways to enter ever since.

And I’ve even won a few of them! 

Now that I’ve started this review site where I host my own giveaways, I looked into what the submission requirements were to list them on PRIZEY. As luck would have it, this coincided nicely with a major project that they were undertaking as well, and I have to say that it’s been a huge help in promoting my giveaways and getting the word out about this site.

PRIZEY‘s new submission form and guidelines are up and running, and it’s easier than ever to get your giveaway listed – and promoted – on the site.  So if you currently host giveaways on your blog – or are considering it, please read on!

To list your contest on PRIZEY, all you have to do is visit the submission site at http://prizeygo.blogspot.com, fill in the form with the details, and submit it for consideration. There are two options – they do accept a number of free listings to post every day, but you are taking your chances as to whether your listing will be accepted or not (about a 50/50 shot). Otherwise, you can pay just $3 to have a premium listing – which is not only guaranteed to be posted, but also includes some advanced options (like including photos, listing multiple prizes, and displaying any alternative entry methods you allow, to name just a few).

But here’s a way to get some premium listings – for free! Just join PRIZEY as a member (free), and you will receive ‘PRIZEY points’ that you can spend to upgrade your listing to premium status – without having to pay for it! Just by joining, you’ll receive 15 points – and if you mention an existing member as a referrer when you sign up, then both you and the blog that referred you each receive an extra 5 points as well. Kind of a win-win situation there, I think. 

That’s four premium giveaways right off the bat, that are guaranteed to be posted on PRIZEY (as long as they meet submission requirements), and can help promote your contest and your site throughout the blogosphere! There are other ways for members to earn additional PRIZEY points as well – when you join you can elect to receive the regular newsletter that explains how to earn more points, along with other useful pieces of information.
