Did you catch the new character on ‘Handy Manny’ today?

A brand-new character, Flicker, a curious young flashlight, joins Playhouse Disney’s hit multicultural series "Handy Manny" with a week of new episodes beginning today on the Disney Channel. And four new "Handy Manny" music videos, featuring music from and inspired by the series, will premiere beginning Wednesday, December 3 (9:25 a.m. ET/PT).

Here’s a run-down of the new episodes airing this week (each one is on at 9:00 am ET/PT):

• Monday, December 1 – "Flicker / Time Capsule"  When Manny’s new vintage motorcycle breaks down on a deserted road, the tools are afraid they won’t be able to fix it before it gets dark.  They search the motorcycle’s saddlebags and much to their surprise, discover Flicker, a talking flashlight.  Then, when Mayor Rosa asks Manny and the tools to fix a leak that threatens to interfere with Sheet Rock Hill’s 100th Anniversary, they do so and discover a hidden time capsule which ends up being the highlight of the celebration.
• Tuesday, December 2 – "Have a Handy New Year” Manny and the tools step in to fix things when Mr. Lopart’s involvement with Sheet Rock Hill’s New Years’ Eve preparations creates a series of mishaps, only to have Mr. Lopart save the day with a creative way to replace the broken New Year’s Eve ball.
• Wednesday, December 3 – "Movie Night / Cactus Manny" Manny and the tools volunteer to fix a broken movie projector, and help entertain the audience until the job is done.  Then, when Mayor Rosa asks all of her friends and neighbors to conserve water, Manny and the tools try to figure out a way to save Mrs. Portillo’s (voiced by Shelley Morrison) rose garden.
• Thursday, December 4 – "Frank’s Barber Shop / Rusty’s Second Wind"  When the new barber in town calls upon Manny and the tools to fix his broken barber shop pole, they also help him find customers for his ailing business, including an unsure Elliot (voice by Lance Bass).  And, when Manny and the tools work to repair a weather vane on the roof of the radio station, Rusty is frightened by an approaching thunderstorm.

Here’s something else exciting – Snow Day Saturdays begin on Playhouse Disney this Saturday (December 6th), with brand-new winter and holiday-themed episodes of your favorite shows!

• Saturday, December 6 (8:30 a.m. ET/PT)  “My Friends Tigger & Pooh Super Sleuth Christmas Movie” – When Roo and Lumpy discover Santa’s magical toy sack and a young reindeer named Holly lost in the Hundred Acre Wood, they summon the Super Sleuths to help return the bag and Holly to the North Pole in time to save Christmas.
• Saturday, December 6 (10:00 a.m. ET/PT)  “Imagination Movers, Present Problem" – Nina brings over her holiday gifts for the Movers, but there’s a problem – none of the gifts are labeled.  Now the Movers must use their creativity to deduce each gift’s recipient without opening them and ruining the surprise.
• Saturday, December 13 (8:00 a.m. ET/PT)  “Little Einsteins, Flight of the Instrument Fairies" – Quincy leads the Little Einsteins gang as they blast off on an arctic adventure to help the little Violin Fairy rescue her fairy friends and restore the Aurora Borealis to the night sky.
• Saturday, December 13 (9:00 a.m. ET/PT)  “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Pluto to the Rescue!" – When Donald and Goofy accidentally build a giant snowman that is so big they cannot climb around it, Mickey and Pluto the Rescue Dog must use their math and observational skills to help Donald and Goofy get back down from Mistletoe Mountain.
