Lands’ End has always meant quality to me – from the time I was in college, looking at the catalogs for backpacks and jackets and saving up to be able to afford them, to now when as a parent, I know that their clothing is not only good quality that stands up to multiple washes and will last through more than one child – but is appropriate for my girls to be wearing in public as well.
I was thrilled to be able to try out three Lands’ End products recently – a pair of Women’s Regular Terry Travel Slippers with Bag, a Wheeled Duffel Bag, and a pair of Kids’ Fleece Slippers.
What they are:
Lands’ End is a company that truly believes in offering quality products and customer service. Both in their catalogs and (since 1995) on their website as well, they offer products for men, women, kids and the home that have a level of quality, durability and value that’s truly superior. From their website:
Lands’ End tests its clothing for a comfortable and consistent fit by trying garments on real people, not just models. For example, more than 100 local children fit-test and wear-test all types of kids’ products, offering their advice on fit, style and comfort.
Lands’ End offers one of the simplest guarantees in the industry — GUARANTEED. PERIOD.® — which allows customers to return items at any time, for any reason, for a full refund of the purchase price or a replacement.
Toll-free phone lines for ordering and customer service are open 24 hours a day, 364 days a year.
Women’s Regular Terry Travel Slippers with Bag – “Take our slipper’s terry cloth comfort wherever you go. Slippers are made with extra “flex” to fit in their own travel bag so you can pack them easily. With padded quilted fleece footbed. 78% cotton/ 16% polyester/6% spandex terry cloth upper. Rubber sole. Machine wash. Imported”.
Lighthouse Wheeled Duffel Bag – “Makes packing and traveling easier on you. Whether right or left handed, the telescoping ergonomic handle swivels and locks in more natural, comfortable angles. Durable wheels are built on ball-bearing construction to roll for miles. With optional, collapsible interior walls to reinforce the sides and a lower compartment to separate shoes from clothes. While organizational pockets hold boarding passes, itineraries — anything you need at hand. The sleek design of the Wheeled Duffel is easy to spot — especially when monogrammed! Spot clean. Imported. “
Kids’ Fleece Slippers – “Thanks to the rib-knit ankle collar, they pull on fast and stay on. Fluffy fleece uppers and cushiony padding soften every step. Suede footbeds help keep kids steady. And the cute embroideries will make kids giggle as they wiggle. Spot clean. Imported.”
Here’s my our take on them:
I wasn’t quite sure which to open first, so started with the women’s slippers. I love the drawstring bag that they come in – so easy to toss in a suitcase or overnight bag without having to worry about one slipper getting misplaced during travel. Plus, they’re safe from slipper-chewing little kittens that way too – which is a big deal, at least in our house.
I love how comfortable these are too – they stretch to fit even my wide feet and are quite cozy. And with the rubber soles, they’ll help keep my feet warm and dry when I stand in the garage to watch my girls get on the bus on cold winter mornings, without having to take the time to put on shoes that I’d have to take off five minutes later.
Next, I pulled out the wheeled duffel bag. Now while I haven’t had a chance to use it yet – I am looking forward to taking it on our next weekend trip away. There’s a ton of space inside, and the sturdy handle is perfect for towing it along behind – definitely a plus when I have 3 kids to manage as well and only two arms.
What I love the most about this bag though, is how flat it folds when empty. We have limited storage space, and this bag fits easily under a bed or on a closet shelf. And then when in use, you just fold the side panels out to create a sturdy bag that you can fill with all your traveling essentials. I really like the the separate compartment adjacent to the handle mechanism on the bottom – it’s a great place to pack shoes, and a good way to conserve every bit of space.
Finally, I surprised my toddler with her new penguin slippers. And she’s rarely taken them off at home since. I think she’d wear her ‘penguins’ out and about outside of the house too if I let her.
My older girls think it’s so much fun to watch their sister have penguins sliding on their bellies on her feet – I hadn’t even really realized that’s how they are shown until the girls mentioned it. Other than the massive cuteness factor, I also love that these slippers stay. on. her. feet. They haven’t slid off once – and she’s been pretty active in them, with running and jumping around. And they’re definitely cozy and warm – the fact that she hardly takes them off speaks to that.
The bottom line:
I am truly impressed, as usual, with the high quality of all three of these products – and the fact that they are attractive and practical as well. Any of them would be perfect under the tree this year for someone special on your list!

The Lands’ End website is located at http://www.landsend.com. All three of these products (and many, many more!) can be found there. The women’s slippers are listed at $25, the duffel bag at $149.50, and the kids’ slippers at $19.50, and each comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles as well.

I also have your button on my blog.
My favorite on the website would be the ultimate down comforter. It would be a bit of a splurge but wonderful in my cold climate. Got to go with the duffle bag as my choice if I won. You have no idea how sad my choices are for luggage and this would help tremendously!
The kids cotton cover up towels would be so cute for my two little boys. I think I would choose a goldfish because that is very unique. I like it can be monogrammed to be extra special. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
I like their Essential Euro PureLoft Pillow.
I would like the Girls’ Squall® Parka
